FACILITY EQUIP. MAINTENANCE & WATER PLANT OPERATIONS, OAK RIDGE, TN

ETMC maintained a 20,000 Million Gallon-per-day water treatment facility that serviced Y-12, ORNL, and the city of Oak Ridge. This was a manual water treatment facility and ETMC was tasked by DOE (Department of Energy) to upgrade and integrate an automated system for future sustainability before being transferred to the city of Oak Ridge.

Y-12 PLANT & SURROUNDING AREA ROADS & GROUNDS MAINTENANCE, OAK RIDGE, TN

ETMC provided roads and grounds maintenance including snow and ice removal, roadway right-of-way maintenance, barrier gates and locks/keys control, cemetery maintenance, earthwork construction, Wildland Fire Roads Grid, construction of new roads, and Declared Emergency and Mutual Aid under the US DOE contract.

HAUL ROAD CONSTRUCTION, OAK RIDGE, TN

Constructed 7.0 miles of haul road connecting ETTP and Y-12 in order to eliminate DOE contractor hazardous material traffic from public highways. The work bordered on two state highways, involved all three DOE plant jurisdictions, crossed 13 blue line streams, and encompassed 1.35 acres of wetlands and other sensitive environmental areas. Five different utilities jurisdictions were involved as well as a railroad right of way. Demolition and clean up of many existing buildings.

ORNL ROUND ABOUT EAST CAMPUS EXPANSION, OAK RIDGE, TN

Milled & removed existing asphalt; strip & stockpile topsoil; graded & widen roadway; in­stalled riprap check dams; installed storm drainage structures; placed & compacted base stone; poured curb and gutter; placed thermoplastic roadway marking; and installed per­manent traffic control signage.
